To our Little Urchin family,
Firstly, thank you for your continued support of our family-owned business. What began as a search for a better, safer option for our children’s skin has grown into a brand that now caters for all ages, with products designed with care, consideration, and inspired by Mother Nature.
Every Little Urchin product is created with the love of family at its heart, we would never sell something to put on your skin that we wouldn’t put on our own. That’s why we work so closely with our formulators and manufacturing partners to ensure our products always meet the highest standards.
We know many Australians have questions right now about the efficacy of the sunscreen they are using. To provide complete confidence in the SPF claims we make at Little Urchin, we commissioned additional independent testing of our sunscreens through another accredited laboratory. These results confirm the validity of our original testing and the SPF protection stated on our products.
Our formulas have always been made with the well-being of our customers as our primary objective. Little Urchin sunscreens are made to meet Australian standards and are listed for supply in Australia by the TGA. We will continue routine testing and quality checks so you can always know what’s on your skin.
We would also like to emphasise that while many mineral sunscreen formulations use similar levels of zinc oxide as the active ingredient, the percentage of zinc oxide alone does not determine the level of SPF protection provided. That is determined by the full formulation of the product and confirmed by rigorous testing.
Always read the label and follow the directions for use. Wear protective clothing, hats and sunglasses, avoid prolonged sun exposure, and re-apply sunscreen at least every 2 hours or more frequently.
